Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor, known for creating thunderous noise with just three members alongside Lemmy and Fast Eddie, has passed away. From 'Overkill' to 'Iron Fist', Motörhead's steel-plated sound owes much to Taylor's fusion of rock'n'roll and metal drumming. Even in 2015, Motörhead's uncompromising sound remained intact. Taylor's death marks the end of an era in drumming—akin to the loss of Cozy Powell.
