I guess the Marshal (Lemmy) tasted his Jack Daniels daily, then gathered his crew saying, “Come on guys, we’re recording a crust album!” Somehow, he also brought in Poffen (Totalitar) for vocals, and they suddenly entered the studio. You can imagine what this guy brings to the table. The extremely rock’n’roll/crust dose from Skitkids is what I think.
Fueled by plenty of adrenaline and hatred, this razor-sharp, fast, loud, and funny record is a fusion of rock and roll, crustcore d-beat, and thrash metal. The vocals remind me of Swedish hardcore legends Totalitar with old-school angry screams and screeches. The great-toned drums deliver a fierce d-beat assault with powerful sound; the bass growls; melodic rock’n’roll leads and Fast Eddie–style guitar solos make you lose yourself.
Lyrically, the album tackles socio-political issues with sarcasm, routine societal life, banal ideas, and criticism of today’s punk stars. Classic Swedish d-beat/hardcore rock’n’roll excellence runs through your veins with high potency. Motorhead and AC/DC–style rock’n’roll solos in "Weekday Suger Rov" (think Ace of Spades) are cool, while tracks like "Viist E Jag Lycklig" and "Svinahunden" bombard you with Totalitar d-beats.
Skitkids makes noise for you — this is one of the best crust/rock’n’roll records in recent years.
